Trump to appear in court today after latest indictment

Former President Donald Trump will appear in court in Washington, DC today after his latest indictment. The arraignment will begin at 3PM our time.

Trump was indicted yesterday on charges stemming from Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation into January 6th.

There are four charges in the 45 page indictment, including Conspiracy to Defraud the United States; Conspiracy to Obstruct an Official Proceeding; Obstruction of, and Attempt to Obstruct an Official Proceeding; and Conspiracy Against rights. You can read the indictment below.

This is the second federal indictment the former president faces out of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation. Trump has already pleaded not guilty to 37 counts related to his alleged improper retention of classified records from his presidency.

Trump has responded to this latest indictment, asking on Truth Social, "Why are they putting out another Fake Indictment the day after the Crooked Joe Biden SCANDAL, one of the biggest in American history, broke out in the Halls of Congress??? A Nation In Decline!

Trump's campaign also put out a statement.

Trump will appear in court on Thursday, and faces a possible fourth indictment connected to the 2020 election in the state of Georgia. He has entered Not Guilty pleas in cases filed against him in New York connected to Stormy Daniels, and in the Mar-A-Lago documents case in Florida.
