Volunteers Rally to Save a Beautiful Sea Turtle at Quintana

This morning beautiful Loggerhead Sea Turtle was somehow stranded on the pedestrian beach at Quintana. Lucky for the old turtle - kind, smart volunteers found him and acted quickly to save the reptile. Viv Alford, a friend of the park, called the Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research and reached turtle rescue volunteer, Michelle. Michelle came to the rescue quickly and was able to take the turtle safely away for much needed care.

Just in case you find a stranded or injured sea turtle, don't try to help him. Guard the animal against others and call 1-866-TURTLE-5. Help will be on the way!
