Covid 19 Update: Some Good News

Whatever happened to '15 days to slow the spread'?

It's been almost 18 months since the start of the pandemic, and it feels like we've gone right back to the March 2020 playbook.

But there is some good news to report, even if you'll never see it from the mainstream media.

Probably the most important thing you need to know? The Covid death rate is at an all-time low. "That's very good news for us" said Dr. Robin Armstrong, "As a hospital physician I see lots of Covid patients, but when you look at the statistics, most people now are surviving as opposed to the first go-around."

That would include kids, despite the fact that they have been used as pawns for school districts that want to issue mask mandates. "Children don't need to wear masks" Dr. Armstrong told KTRH, "We don't need to have lockdowns, we need to have kids in schools, it's healthier for them."

Speaking of healthier, the other big recent find? New studies show that people who have already had Covid, have natural long lasting immunity. Something Dr. Armstrong says all doctors should know. "It's amazing that we have to have a study that proves that" he said, "But you notice there's not much media attention about that at all. They have better protection then what the vaccine will provide, and clearly the vaccine does not provide full protection."

No, it does not. But even with the break through cases, and hospitals now full because of a nursing shortage (not Covid), Dr. Armstrong says we don't have to live in fear anymore. "We don't have to fear because most people are going to survive and be ok. We're going to get through this.

Probably the best thing you can do? Don't watch the tv news, and keep it on KTRH!
