Sugar Land to Double Mosquito Spraying for West Nile

Health officials are confirming a positive case of the West Nile virus in a mosquito in Sugar Land.

The Texas Department of State Health Services is trapping and testing mosquitos for the presence of the virus, and at least one tested positive this past week.

City officials announced the discovery on Thursday, and said they plan to increase mosquito spraying to twice a week.
