The girlfriend of a murdered five-year-old's father is now accused in the boy's death.
Theresa Balboa is charged with capital murder for the death of Samuel Olson, whose body was found last month in a Jasper motel room.
Harris County forensic investigators identified the boy's body and ruled his death a homicide.
After Balboa's arrest in Jasper County on a charge of tampering with evidence of a human corpse, she was transferred to the Harris County jail.
Her next court date is scheduled for Monday.
