Up Next: Electoral Election Challenge

First there was November 6th, and now we are on the eve of January 6th. The electoral election challenge. Led by Texas Senator Ted Cruz, over 100 Republicans are expected to object to the presidential election results. So what can we expect tomorrow when Congress convenes? Political scientist Brandon Rottinghaus told KTRH that ultimately, the votes will be certified for Joe Biden. But the hearing, and the likely delay, will serve as an opportunity to support President Trump. "The members who object are going to have to defend this vote, and the members who don't object will have to defend their vote, especially to the Republican base. So it's a way for the President to split the party because this is a tough vote to take for a lot of members." And while there have been internet rumors that Vice President Mike Pence would be the hero and not acknowledge the results, Rottinghaus said that while Pence may feel that way, he's not going to object, nor does he even have the power to do so. So tomorrow will be a symbolic day, but a tough day, with Joe Biden set to be on his way to the White House.
