The bars in Galveston County are now reopened for the first time in months.
County Judge Mark Henry hosted a happy hour on Wednesday in the Buccaneer Bar at Railean Rum Distillery in San Leon.
Gov. Greg Abbott gave county judges the option of opening bars in counties where the rate of pandemic hospitalizations is below 15-percent.
Bars are limited to 50-percent capacity and must practice social distancing.
The bars in Montgomery, Fort Bend and Brazoria counties are also reopening, but not in Harris County.
