House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is preparing to play a key role in deciding who wins the election.
According to Politico Pelosi sent a letter to House Democrats Sunday telling them to keep this possibility in mind. Republican strategist Vlad Davidiuk says this is typical Pelosi.
"It's not surprising that she's hoping that there's enough disarray after the election to be in the position to decide who gets to be President," Davidiuk said.
Daviduk also says this could have major implications down the road.
"If they move forward with this plan that puts into doubt the nature of our democracy and whether Americans can continue to trust," Davidiuk stated.
The last time the House of Representatives decided a Presidential election was back in 1876.
