Fort Bend County Announces Two New COVID-19 Testing Sites

Fort bend county officials are opening up two new Coronavirus testing sites.

On Friday, local leaders unveiled their four and fifth testing locations will be in Richmond and Katy. The new additions mean Fort Bend County has opened testing sites in all five precincts.

The Richmond site is in the parking lot of the Gallery Furniture store off the Grand Parkway. The address is 7227 West Grand Parkway South.

The Katy site is at Seven Lakes High School at 9251 South Fry Road.

Both will be open Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. Fort Bend County Judge KP George says the sites are free to County residents and you don't have to show symptoms to be tested.

“We know that some people cannot afford sometimes 70 dollars to get a test done. I just want every Fort Bender listing to please go and get tested, there is no cost attached to it,” George said.

The other testing sites in Fort Bend County are in Rosenberg, Sugar Land, and Missouri City.

If you are a Fort Bend County resident who wants to be tested, you have to set up an appointment. You can sign up HERE or call (281) 238-2363.
