Dems set for final debate of 2019 tonight

The seven Democrats that qualified for the debate in Los Angeles take the stage tonight.

It will not be the crowded state we have become used to. It will not be a two-night affair. And Democratic strategist Mustafa Tameez tells KTRH that helps undecided voters most.

"The questioners can ask deeper, probing questions, and the viewers can discern the positions of different candidates," Tameez stated.

Charles Blain at Urban Reform told KTRH he thinks Pete Buttigieg has a target on his back.

"This is his first time stepping on the debate stage as a front runner," Blain explained. "I'm expecting to see a lot of the candidates go after him."

Blain says there's still time to change how the race plays out.

"Warren, Biden, and others, if they are targeting him to knock him down a peg, this could change things," Blain said.

Among the candidates that did not meet the requirement to debate were Julian Castro and Cory Booker.
