Alleged Police Killer's Mother Speaks Out

The Mother of the suspect in the Nassau Bay officer's death is apologizing to the deceased Sargent's family, and is charged with hindering an investigation, which is a 3rd degree felony. Prosecutors say the night her son allegedly ran over sergeant Kaila Sullivan, Tiffany Henderson, Tavores' mother, said she didn't know where her son was. However, surveillance video from a hotel shows that she and her boyfriend dropped off Tavores at the hotel. Prosecutors say Tiffany endangered the public by lying to police. Ms. Henderson told our TV Partner Channel 2 that Tavores was not with her on the hotel video. She said the footage shows her, her fiance and another person. Tavores wasn't there.

Sgt Sullivan's service will be held Wednesday morning.
