Manhunt ends as murder suspect, victim found dead near Spring

The search for a murder suspect came to an end overnight, as that suspect, Roderick Bowers, was found dead at an apartment complex near Spring.

Another person, a 52-year-old victim, was also found dead with the suspect, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constables Office, HPD, United States Marshals and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office were searching for the suspect at the Harmony Park Apartments, which are near Rayford Road and the Grand Parkway.

A perimeter was set up around the complex and no one was allowed to enter or exit. Law enforcement made multiple attempts to contact the suspect, who was found inside one of the apartment units.

At 12:30 a.m. a Montgomery County SWAT team tried to enter the apartment, and three gunshots were heard. A remote robot was then sent in, confirming two bodies were inside.
