Happiness is something you grow into

Hold on to your smile and spread the happiness

When you think of happiness, the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche might not be the first thing that comes to mind, but he’s the dude who wrote, “What does not kill him makes him stronger.” Surviving the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, a concept put forward by another dude, may lead to higher degrees of happiness.

At least that's what a survey by Galaxy Chocolate found.

When asked to rate the scale of their happiness, people under the age of 35 scored lowest with an average of 5.9.

But for those over 55, scores were around 7, and they were found to be the happiest demographic.

As with spirits and wine, things get better the longer they’ve been around. It was Anonymous who once said, “Wine improves with age. The older I get, the better I like it.”
