Rescue crews saved a person who got stranded in floodwaters near the Museum District.
This started about 7:30 this morning near State Highway 288 and MacGregor Way. Video from a Houston TranStar camera shows a person in the water along with what looks like a makeshift tent.
Several emergency workers were standing on the bank, tossing lines and a lifejacket to the person. After about 45 minutes, crews succeeded in getting the person out of the water and to safety.
