Houston Son Takes Control Of Home Invasion To Protect His Family

A suspect involved in a home invasion was shot and killed Tuesday in southwest Houston.

Authorities say it was around midnight when three suspects invaded a home in the 7500 block of Quail Meadow Drive, near Fondren and Highway 90.

The three men allegedly pistol whipped a father when he got home and forced him to let him into his home. Two sisters at home, hid in a closet as the suspects ransacked the house.

One of the sisters, age 21, it the panic alarm. The suspects eventually found the girls while looking through house.

Once the son arrived at home with his mother, she stayed in the car and the son immediately saw something was amiss and grabbed his gun.

He opened fire at the invaders as they were leaving the home. One of them was stuck in the head.

The other two accused home invaders hopped on the hood of the mother's car in attempt to run from the scene.

The mom fled in her car and found a police officer at a nearby Whataburger.

The two accused home invaders stole the father's car and left the scene. No word on the description of that vehicle.

The man who was shot in the head was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
