A woman died in a fire overnight. Emergency responders arrived at the home on York near Harrisburg around 7 p.m. Friday night on the East End.
Officials say the victim's friend went to check on her, but her body was found when the fire was put out according to Houston Police.
At one point, the fire got so intense, a firefighter had to be rescued when he fell a couple floors.
The name of the woman is not being released at this time. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
Investigators are still trying to locate the woman's husband for questioning.
