Andre Johnson Returns to Texans

Retired wide receiver Andre Johnson is back ‘home’.

The Houston Texans’ all-time leading receiver has rejoined the team as a special advisor to Head Coach Bill O’Brien and General Manager Brian Gaine.

Johnson is the fourth former Texan to join the coaching staff, joining linebackers Brian Cushing and Akeem Dent, and quarterback TJ Yates.

The 37-year old played 12 seasons in Houston, after being drafted in the first round in 2003.He played additional years in both Indianapolis and Tennessee before retiring in 2016.

He is also the first inductee into the teams Ring of Honor.
