Bush Airport Closes Term. B Checkpoint and Ticketing

The lines will be longer and people will be crankier at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The security checkpoint and ticketing at Terminal B are now closed!  It's all due to a shortage of TSA workers. That's all  due to the government shutdown and TSA agents are not being paid but still asked to go to work. Yesterday they missed their first paycheck.

Passengers will be routed to either Terminal C or E until further notice - according to a tweet from authorities at Bush Intercontinental Airport.Show up at least 2 hours early.Pack some patience and extra sense of humor with your clean underwear.Bring something to read or listen to and extra toys for the kids.Good luck and Bon Voyage!

Flights scheduled to depart from Terminal B will operate as normal.  Updates on the status of the security checkpoints at both Bush Airport and William P. Hobby Airport can be found at fly2houston.com.
