POLL: City May Forbid Astros To Use Smokeless Tobacco During Games

(Houston, TX)  --  City Council may pass an ordinance to keep the Astros players and employees from using smokeless tobacco at Minute Maid Park.  The MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids both back the proposed ordinance, which is aimed at keeping kids away from tobacco.

The ordinance wouldn't apply to the fans at the games, but only to players and other employees of the Astros organization.  MLB Commissioner Robert Manfred also supports the ban.
