Boomers Live Longer - Not Better

Baby Boomers Not Living Well
By iHeartMedia’s Sally Adams

Seventy-four million Americans are between 54 and 72 years old and are more obese and have more heart disease and diabetes than previous generations.  Baylor College of Medicine Nutritionist Kristi King says how we live from our teens through our 40s greatly influences how we live later.  “It’s not too late to make changes.  Just getting up and moving once an hour can make real improvements on your heart health.”

She also suggests more fruits and vegetables in your diet and staying hydrated. Small changes now can make life better when you hit 70.  “Boomers didn’t get like this overnight. Get moving!”
