Have smartphones dominant run ended?

HOUSTON - Smartphones have dominated the market the past 10 years but new phones by Apple and Samsung haven't been exactly flying off the shelves.

Michael Garfield, the High-Tech Texan, says the prices for what your getting is just too high.

"They're at least a thousand dollars if you want some the top ones with the largest amount of storage."

Garfield says he think consumers will start buying again if they are 5G capable or more form friendly.

"The fact is if we can have a smaller phone that has the function of that bigger phone, then I think we will have a winner."

Apple stock has dropped off 10 percent over the past week, but Garfield says they shouldn't be worried, they'll be just fine.
