Keuchel Now Free Agent After Rejecting Astros' Qualifying Offer

(Houston, TX)  --  Cy Young Award winning left-hander Dallas Keuchel has rejected the Astros' one-year qualifying offer of a one-year contract for just less than 18-million dollars.

Keuchel becomes a free agent, but the Astros will receive a compensation draft pick if he signs with another club.

The 30-year-old was 12-11 in 34 starts last season and is seeking a multi-year deal.  He has won four Gold Glove Awards.  Charlie Morton, another Houston starter, is also a free agent.
