A standoff is underway with an armed man in Channelview at this hour. Lockouts at four school campuses have been ordered until the stand-off is over.
Area constables say an armed man has barricaded himself inside an apartment at a complex on Sheldon Road in Channelview.
Officials with Channelview ISD the "lockout" campuses include Early Childhood Center, Channelview High School, Endeavor High School, and Joe Frank Campbell Learning Center.
All students and faculty are safe inside the area schools. No one is permitted to leave or enter till the stand-off is cleared.
