A 14-year-old boy is in critical condition with a bullet wound to the neck Tuesday in northwest Harris County.
The gun had been stolen during a vehicle burglary in the area earlier in the day, police say. The victim was with friends at home in the 19400 block of Ambrosia Falls Drive in the Three Lakes East subdivision when the shooting happened.
Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman says the teens said the boy was posing for a selfie with the gun when it went off, but investigators are suspicious of the account and are questioning the people at the scene.
