One World Series ring replica giveaway wasn’t enough. So the Astros decided they needed to do it again, which they did less than a month ago. But even that wasn’t enough.
So, for the third time this season, the Astros will give away the replica rings to fans tonight when the team takes on the Oakland Athletics at Minute Maid Park. Team President of Business Operations Reid Ryan told KTRH the fans just want to remember last season’s incredible ride.
“It took 56 years for us to win the title. The fact we brought so much pride to the city is why fans want to memorialize this. The ring is the ultimate prize,” Ryan explained.
The gates at Minute Maid Park will open at 4pm. But you have to get there by the end of the sixth inning tonight. That’s when the giveaway ends.
