PODCAST: Google can shift elections, too

We know Google is slanted in favor of the left, but what you might not have known is that their search engine can actually impact how elections turn out.

According to new research if Google inserts negative search suggestions under the name of a candidate, it can shift the opinions of undecided voters by up to 43.4%. Political analyst Jacquie Baly tells KTRH why Google would do something like this.

“It’s because of people continue to see something, even if it’s in correct, they continue to believe it,” Baly explained.

And what surprises Baly is actually that anyone is surprised that this goes on. Just look at what social media has done to conservatives.

“These are the state of the times. Facebook is also very selective in what they want their users to see,” Baly stated.

Twitter does the same thing, which is one reason why you've heard lawmakers in Washington talk about regulating social media.
