Government Forgiving Some Student Loans

Friday the federal government passed a $1.3 trillion spending bill.  Out of that a $350,000,000 boost is lending retrieve for some of those suffering under these loans. The Student Loan Forgiveness Program is glad to get the cash!

Restrictions apply including:

  • You must have one of the specific qualifying repayment plans for a federal loan
  • You must have made 120 on-time repayments (roughly 10 years)
  • You must be working full time in a public service job with a qualifying employer, such as a federal or local government agency or an eligible non-profit organization.

The US student loan debt has reached over a trillion dollars and many young professionals are living under that burden.
