The left continues their call for more gun control

Ever since the Las Vegas massacre on Sunday night you’ve been hearing calls for more gun control.

But let's separate fact from fiction. Emily Taylor with US Law Shield told KTRH there is one big thing gun control supporters miss.

“The idea that criminals will comply with gun laws is the fundamental difference with the way the left and pro-Second Amendment people look at this issue,” Taylor explained.

That said the NRA is now calling for a review on bump stocks and whether they should be regulated further.

“ATF needs to look. If there is technology on the market that allows a semi-automatic rifle to function as an automatic rifle, they need to be regulated differently,” the NRA’s Chris Cox told Fox News Thursday night.

California Senator Dianne Feinstein has introduced a bill to ban bump stocks, and Taylor has issues with the legislation.

“Not only does it criminalize the ownership of bump stocks, but it goes further. The reaching part is what’s troubling,” Taylor stated.

While the NRA wants to review bump stock regulations, another pro-gun group - Gun Owners of America - says it will oppose a ban on bump stocks.

"Gun Owners of America opposes a ban on bump stocks. Bump stocks were approved by the ATF during the Obama administration to help gun owners with disabilities fire their weapons.  Any type of ban will be ignored by criminals and only serve to disarm honest citizens.  Perhaps that’s why 91 percent of police believe a so-called “assault weapons” ban will have no effect or a negative effect on crime.  And given that 95 percent of cops think that a ban on large capacity magazines would be ineffective in reducing violent crime, it’s hard to imagine they would regard bump stocks any differently,” Erich Pratt of Gun Owners of America said in a statement.
