The Phenomenal Pearls Educational and Charitable Foundation and the 100 Black Men Houston Metropolitan Chapter will host "Real Men Who Cook," 2-6 p.m. Sun., Nov. 12, at the Buffalo Soldier Museum, 3816 Caroline St. The fundraiser will feature local men preparing their best entrees, appetizers, side dishes and desserts for guests to sample. The chefs will compete in each category for prizes, and guests will also enjoy a silent auction. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students, and $8 for children 12 and younger. Groups of four adults and purchase tickets for $70. Proceeds will help fund scholarships for area high school students and support community health programs, financial literacy, environmental sustainability, family strengthening, and Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
