Texans Score a Preseason Win

The Houston Texans beat the New England Patriots 27-23 at NRG Stadium, as fans got a first-hand look at the team for the first time in 2017.

Quarterback Tom Savage turned in a solid performance, going 8-for-9 with a touchdown pass in two drives.  Rookie Deshaun Watson took over for the next two quarters, throwing for 102 yards and running for his second TD of the preseason.

Running back D’Onta Foreman was also impressive; he rushed for 17-yards and a touchdown, but also had 66-receiving yards.

JJ Watt also continues his recovery from last year’s injury, playing one series and throwing running back Rex Burkhead for a two-yard loss.

The Texans will be in New Orleans Saturday for their next preseason test.
