Texas Governor Greg Abbott salutes the efforts of the state's law enforcement officers at an Austin ceremony. Abbott was the keynote speaker at the 2017 Texas DPS Peace Officers Memorial Service Tuesday.
[gov.texas.gov/]Abbott said, “Their names, their lives, their stories, their work, their effort, will never be forgotten.”
Abbott told the crowd the fallen officers literally changed who we are by their efforts.
“Because it is an absolute, unequivocal fact,” he said, “Texas would not be Texas that we are today without what these men and women have done in their service to our great state.”
