Houstonians hunkered down to ride out a violent storm that passed through the area overnight.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo closed the carnival early due to the weather.
Winds reached 60-miles an hour, and there were reports of quarter-sized hail. There are also reports of downed trees in areas north of Houston. Rainfall totals of 1-2 inches per hour were seen in parts of Harris and Montgomery Counties.
More severe weather is possible this morning as a cold front moves into the region.
