Severe Weather Moves Across Houston

Houstonians hunkered down to ride out a violent storm that passed through the area overnight.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo closed the carnival early due to the weather.

Winds reached 60-miles an hour, and there were reports of quarter-sized hail.  There are also reports of downed trees in areas north of Houston.  Rainfall totals of 1-2 inches per hour were seen in parts of Harris and Montgomery Counties.

More severe weather is possible this morning as a cold front moves into the region.
