Infighting in GOP over Trump Wall

Not only does President Trump face a battle over his refugee executive order, but some in his own party have come out against the hallmark of his campaign; the border wall.

That includes Texas Senator John Cornyn, who has not fully supported the wall for over a year now.

“It’s just not as simple as building a wall and the problem will go away,” Cornyn told Fox News last year, saying that other technology has to be part of border security.

Political analyst Jacquie Baly told KTRH she's not surprised at the GOP infighting, and says Trump doesn't need that support to get the wall.

“There was a bill passed ten years ago, which is the policy the President is using to start with this project,” Baly explained.

So in the end, could Republicans thwart Trump on this issue? Baly hopes not.

“If voters support this, and our President is acting on our behalf, I would hope that members of Congress would support him,” Baly said.
