Some people might think that everyone who drives Hummer are selfish and irresponsible . . . but last week 46-year-old Darrell Krushelnicki of Edmonton used his to save several children's LIVES.
Last Friday afternoon, he dropped his girlfriend off at the Bonnie Doon Mall. While waiting to leave the parking lot, he saw a car driving toward the intersection at high speed.
At the same time, four kids . . . between the ages of three and 16 . . . were crossing the street. Darrell KNEW the driver didn't see them and wouldn't be able to stop in time.
So Darrell pulled his Hummer out right in FRONT of the oncoming car and took the hit to protect the kids.
He stopped the car 15 to 20 feet away from the children. No one was hurt, and police say Darrell was a hero. The other driver was speeding and talking on a cell phone . . . and he PASSED several cars that stopped at the crosswalk
