Hometown girl and Beyonce's sister, Solange, is just one of the many performers confirmed for the 2009 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Solange, who released her second CD "Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams" in 2008, will be the opening act for R&B legend Gladys Knight. Veteran singer and actress Knight will be the headlining act for Black Heritage Day on Friday, March 6.
Country music group Lady Antebellum will make its Rodeo Houston debut on Monday, March 9, while Darius Rucker, veteran lead vocalist for Hootie & the Blowfish, will make his solo debut as a country singer on Monday, March 16 as part of the rodeo Spring Break Stampede lineup.
Katy native Clint Black is scheduled to perform Friday, March 13 while Houston native rock band ZZ Top will close out the Rodeo on Sunday, March 22.
