Wednesday's raid at a business near the Port of Houston led to 160 arrests.
More than 100 people gathered outside the Mickey Leland Federal Building Thursday to protest Wednesday's raid at a business near the Port of Houston. The raid led to 160 arrests, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement says it has released 60 people until their hearings.
"This county's going to look back at this time and be ashamed of what they are doing to working families," says organizer Francisco Reyes. "We are on the side of justice, and these immoral laws have to change."
Demonstrators accuse immigration agents of breaking up families.
"There's little kids who need their moms. I'm fighting for those women who need their kids," says one protestor. "I'm talking for all those women who cannot talk. Those kids are citizens, and they have the same rights as everybody else."
Houston's Hispanic community is calling for a law that would prevent the deportation of parents of American citizens.
