The 2008 NFL schedules are out today and the Texans will host their first ever Monday Night Football Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The 2008 Houston Texans schedule has been released, and for the first time in franchise history, the team is scheduled for a regular-season Monday night game.
The last time Houston hosted Monday Night Football was in November 1994, when the Oilers faced the New York Giants. This year's Monday Night Football affair pits the Texans against Jacksonville on December 1st.
This year's schedule includes matchups with the AFC North's Ravens, Bengals, Browns, and Steelers as well as the Bears, Lions, Packers, and Vikings of the NFC North. The team opens the season on the road at Pittsburgh - the same place they began the 2005 schedule.
