LONGVIEW, WA (KPTV) -
Longview police are looking for the man who flashed a local mother and her son and started masturbating right in front of them.
But he got the shock of a lifetime when the woman pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot him.
Police said it happened Wednesday night in Longview at Lake Sacajawea Park.
"It's definitely a surreal experience," said the woman, who does not want to be identified. "It's a scary experience to have."
The woman said it was just a gut feeling to grab her .38 caliber handgun before taking her 6-year-old son to the park at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
When they got down by the water, she said a strange man started walking toward her, asking for something.
"He was saying, ‘Miss, Miss. Can you watch this?'" she said. "And then he took his pants off and sat down and began masturbating."
The woman said she didn't hesitate for a second.
"The magazine was mostly in the gun. I just popped it in completely and locked it, cocked it, took it out of my pocket, pointed it at him and told him he had five seconds and then I was going to shoot him," she said.
The woman said the man cursed at her in shock, frantically pulled up his pants and ran. She called police and officers searched for the suspect, but he got away.
