I'm really excited about my return to Houston and SportsTalk 790. We haven't been together since October 2004, and I've missed ya.

For those who don't know or remember me, I was on the Houston airwaves from 1991 to 2004. I was the "Voice of the UH Cougars," my alma mater, for two years and later called Rice Owls games for six seasons.

I also had the pleasure of being the Rockets' arena announcer during their two championship seasons. Remember "All right Houston, on your feet and prepare for a Rockets liftoff!!!!" or "Hakeem Ooooooooolajuwon"? And I spent many Sundays at Reliant Stadium during the Texans' first three seasons and witnessed the dramatic inaugural game win over the Cowboys. Unfortunately, I still remember the Oilers epic collaspe in Buffalo like it was yesterday.

Favorite Houston moment: Being courtside as the Rockets public address announcer for game seven of the 1994 NBA finals and their win over the Knicks.

Most embarrassing moment on the air: Having to do a broadcast the morning after the Rockets won the championship. If anyone remembers, I was in no condition to be on the radio.

After leaving Houston, I spent two years broadcasting games for the University of Utah and am now wrapping up an enjoyable three-year stay on the Minnesota Twins' flagship station, KSTP-AM in Minneapolis. But Houston is home, and so is SportsTalk 790

It'll be great to reconnect with you noon-3 p.m. every weekday!
