We now know who will headline Houston's most patriotic celebration, "Freedom Over Texas."

Houston Mayor Annise Parker unveiled the plans for the city's 26th Annual July 4 Festival, including the announcement that Billy Currington and Sara Evans will headline the event that will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display along Buffalo Bayou.

Mayor Parker spoke about this years festivities saying, “ Every branch of the military will be represented at this years celebration.”

Each year hundreds of thousands of people attend to see the many concerts and of course the dazzling fireworks displays.

Southwest Airlines will also sponsor an aviation event that features vintage planes.

The event will run from 4 to 10 July 4th.
