A new report from the ACLU claims Texas leads the nation in marijuana arrests and law enforcement targets blacks.
The report says blacks are twice as likely as whites to be busted with weed.
"Data shows that black Americans and white Americans use marijuana at comparable levels yet the arrest rate for African-Americans is far greater."
Mason Tvert is a bit biased, however. He's with the Marijuana Policy Project which says no one should be arrested for pot possession.
"There's absolutely no reason why law enforcement officials should be spending their time and resources arresting adults for marijuana."
The study says Texas had the second most pot possession arrests in the nation between 2001 and 2010.
"It's a failed policy. There's absolutely no reason why law enforcement officials should be arresting any adults simply for possessing a substance less harmful than alcohol."
