Doctor says pain treatment will allow Campbell to play golf!
He's one of the most beloved Texans. But Longhorns and Oilers legend Earl Campbell was crippled by the game he loved. Now, Dr. Donald Rhodes' revolutionary pain treatment called VECTTOR could have Campbell walking unassisted again.
"We have people who have gone from wheelchairs to walkers to canes to walking free. I don't expect any less for Earl."
Dr. Rhodes says Campbell is now walking with a cane after years in a wheelchair.
"He just pointed to a couple of the offensive linemen who were working out in the weight room and said 'hey -- give me a hand.' And they went out and balanced him and he walked 50 steps the first day."
Dr. Rhodes says Campbell wants to know when he can play golf and Rhodes says he doesn't see why Campbell can't walk unassisted some day.
Dr. Rhodes says VECTTOR can also help children with Muscular Dystrophy and perhaps those with kidney disorders and Diabetes.
