One more hearing needed to complete parental termination
One month ago, little baby Chloe was found in a plastic bag outside an apartment complex. Now she is doing well and could be adopted soon.
Child Protective Services says the child has one more hearing to go to complete the parental termination process that will make Chloe eligible to be adopted. Currently she is in foster care and doing well.
Estella Olgiun with C.P.S. says parents don't have to abandon their newborns like the way Chloe was abandoned, "we have the Baby Moses Law in Texas which allows parents to safely surrender their newborns (to the state) without any questions asked."
Olguin says they have gotten a lot of calls from people who want to adopt baby Chloe, but says it will be up to the courts to decide who the new parents will be.
