Says Foxxy's Cabaret is a 'public nuisance'
Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan's office continues to crack down on adult entertainment venues in Houston, this time targeting Foxxy's Cabaret on South Post Oak.
"The record at Foxxy's Cabaret is 12 prostitution arrests made, 2 drug violations made, and that's in a relatively short period time just a couple years," Ryan tells KTRH News. "So we think that's a public nuisance."
Ryan's office has slapped the club with a lawsuit citing its proximity to a nearby church and charter school. He wants the business shut down.
Some have accused Ryan of being ant-business, but he denies that allegation.
"Bottom line is if they're engaged in criminal conduct I'm against that kind of thing, the office of the county attorney is," he says. "I don't know any public official who says criminal activity is okay."
