AAPOL picks Ben Hall
Houston's police union is endorsing Mayor Annise Parker for re-election this year.
The union's president tells KTRH News that Parker "inherited a bad economy and still was able to keep the city in the black."
Ray Hunt says the mayor gave officers a five-year contract, a respected police chief and has given priority to public safety.
In somewhat of a surprise move, the African-American Police Officers League endorsed former city attorney Ben Hall to run against Parker.
We'll have more Thursday on Houston's Morning News with Matt Patrick.
