2 Texas A&M cadets, 1 other killed in car crash

Two Texas A&M Corps of Cadet freshmen and another woman have been killed in a wrong-way car crash outside Houston that authorities believe may have been alcohol related.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on a road northwest of Houston.

Police say that a woman drove south in a northbound lane. She hit head-on a Ford Explorer with three cadets inside. The woman driving the wrong way died at the scene. Her identity has not been released.

Police say the driver of the Explorer and a backseat passenger were also killed on impact. The third person is in stable condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Police identified the two people killed in the Explorer as 18-year-old Amy Paecheo and 18-year-old Miguel Hernandez.
