Two Freshmen in the Corps of Cadets among fatalities
Two members of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets are killed in Northwest Harris County when their SUV was hit head-on by a vehicle travelling in the wrong direction.
Harris County Sheriffs Deputies say three cadets were driving north on Highway 290 around 3:30am between Kickapoo and Binford when they were hit by a woman in her 20’s. She died at the scene, along with the cadet driver and a backseat passenger. The other passenger was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition.
The three freshman cadets were reportedly on their way back to College Station to attend a morning function.
Authorities believe alcohol may have been a factor, but they’re still working to identify the victims.
