Hispanic graduation rate improves by 15%

There's good news for Texas at the "2013 Building a Grad Nation Summit." Texas tops the list in reducing the number of "dropout factories."

Colleen Wilber is with America's Promise Alliance, which is hosting the summit.

"Texas as a state has actually seen a tremendous amount of improvement over the last decade."

Wilber says dropout factories have 60% or less students graduate.

"You guys are the top of the stack in terms of states that have reduced the number of dropout factory high schools."

Wilber says the graduation gap in Texas between white and Hispanic students has dropped 15% in the past decade.
