16-year-old girl sued her parents because she wanted to have her baby
A judge issued an injunction on Monday that will allow a 16-year-old girl to keep her baby.
The girl had filed suit against her parents because she says they were trying to force and coerce her to have an abortion. With the help of Texas Centers for Defense of Life the girl won an injunction that will allow her have her baby.
The injunction was agreed to by the girl and her parents. Stephen Casey is the lead attorney for Texas Centers for Defense of Life and says a minor does have the right to sue her parents when it comes to reproductive decisions.
The order by the judge prohibits the parents from making any efforts to coerce the girl into having an abortion.
