Lexus owners have bragging rights -- again
Good news for Lexus drivers. J.D. Power has released its 2013 Vehicle Dependability Study.
J.D. Power's Raffi Festekjian says the premium Toyotas rule the roost again.
"Lexus ranks as the highest in vehicle dependability among all name plates now, for the second consecutive year."
Lexus, Porsche, Lincoln and Toyota owners reported the fewest problems, while Jeep, Mitsubishi, Dodge and Land Rover owners had the most. Festekjian says American makes have closed the gap.
"There still is a perception among many consumers that there are significantly more quality issues with the domestic vehicles and in most cases that's simply not true."
Festekjian says excessive wind noise is the biggest complaint, followed by noisy brakes and bad paint jobs.
